Catherine Weber made sure Old Bordenian Ladies 2nds started their league campaign with a bang this weekend, scoring not only a hat trick but two of the goals being superb reverse stick strikes.  The ladies also welcomed Becky Philpott to their team who added two great goals to the final score.  Being 4 - 0 up at half time really settled the younger girls into the game and some excellent hockey came out of it, Isobelle Ford and Catherine Weber working well on the right and putting in some fine crosses.  A well worked goal by Lydia Stone and another from Becca Johnson made sure that there was no way back for the University Of Kent.  The game finished 7 - 0 and Caroline Wibberley was the player of the match.
