Old Bordenian Ladies 2^nd X1 – 3

It took a long time for Old Bordenians to settle into the game, as again they were missing key players due to holidays, but once they did some great hockey was played.  The younger players shone in particular and in positions they do not normally play in.  Louise Allan and Ellen Care had great games in defence this week.  Becca Johnson not only had an outstanding game but opened Old Bordenians' scoring with an amazing top corner strike which must be in contention for the goal of the season.. This was quickly followed by a great goal from the top of the D by Jo Knee during a short corner.  Although Old Bordenians had a lot of chances in the second half, the final goal came via a penalty flick, which was coolly put away by Becky Philpott.
