Gore Court 3^rd X1 - 2

This turned out to be the thrilling local derby as predicted.  Old Bordenians managed to put out their strongest team this week and, although Gore Court took the lead in the first five minutes, Bordenians always looked like they were going to take the three points.  This was probably Old Bordenians Ladies 2^nd X1's best performance this season as they played as a team again and managed to find themselves 2-1 up at half time, both goals coming from Becka Johnson.  There was no let up in the second half as Bordenians stayed consistent and kept Gore Court out.  Gore Court were always looking for the equaliser and Old Bordenians took advantage of this with two more great goals from Lindsey Ellis and Becky Philpott.  Old Bordenians' final goal came via Stone again when, what looked like a pass, somehow found the back of the goal.  A slight lapse in concentration at the end allowed Gore Court to pull one back and the final score ended 5 - 2.  A great team performance from Bordenians.
