Ladies 2nd X1 -3
Cliftonville - 0
Old Bordenian Ladies managed to beat Cliftonville at home this saturday and although the win looked a convincing one at 3 - 0, it does not reflect the way Old Bordenian Ladies are playing at the moment. The Ladies took a while to find their composure and it took nearly the whole of the first half for them to score the first goal, Catherine Weber slotting the ball in from a great position on the far post.
Matt Roche, the Old Bordenians Ladies 2nds coach, gave them a half time talk, which seemed to work as the ladies picked up their game and were unlucky not to put more then two past Cliftonville in this half, Lyndsey Ellis coming close several times up front. Jo knee scored a spectacular goal from the top of the D following a short corner and the final goal came from sweeper Becky Philpott. The Ladies 2nds are expecting another thrilling local derby this week, when they play Gore Court 3rds at home on Saturday.
