The match started slowly for Old Bordenians and it took a great goal by Becky Philpot after 10 minutes to spur them on.  Philpott made a great run from the half way line and coolly slotted the ball past 'the keeper to show the girls how it was done.  Old Boys started to play the hockey they have been playing all season and were unlucky not to be more then 1- 0 in the first half. 

The Old Boys continued with the pressure in the second half  and were rewarded by another trade mark Lyndsey Ellis short corner and two fine goals by Lydia Stone.  Even though this was a top of the table clash, the Old Bordenian Ladies never really looked threatened although Tina Welsted put in a couple of fine saves to keep her goals conceded this half of the season at only two.
