Tunbridge Wells Ladies 2^nd XI - 1

This friendly started well with both teams playing some great hockey.  The game was goalless at half-time, although both teams had their fair share of shots on goal.  The second half started better than the first, Old Bordenians showing greater determination, constantly pressuring the Tunbridge Wells defence.  Unfortunately, Tunbridge Wells, on a break, found a player at the top of the D, who exploited a gap in the Bordenians' defence, firing the ball past the 'keeper and into the goal.  Having taken a 1-0 lead late into the second half, Tunbridge Wells sat back, but soon found Old Boys did not want to lose this game.  Bordenians worked hard and found Ward at the top of the D but, with ten seconds to go, her shot just shaved the outside of the post.  The game ended 1-0 to Tunbridge Wells.
