England Hockey’s Single System is the development pathway (see diagram below) for players of all ages and abilities to reach their full potential.
Old Bordenian Hockey Club is proud to host one of the 8 Junior Development Centres (JDC) and the Kent Junior Academy Centre (JAC) for Boys Under-13. The 8 JDCs are:
- Swale JDC, managed by Old Bordenian HC for U13 and U14 Boys and Girls
- East Kent JDC, managed by Canterbury HC and Herne Bay HC for U13 and U14 Boys and Girls
- Mid Kent JDC, managed by Maidstone HC
- South-West Kent JDC, managed by Sevenoaks HC and Tunbridge Wells HC for U13 and U14 Boys and Girls
- Medway JDC, Managed by Holcombe HC for U13 and U14 Boys and Girls
- North-West Kent JDC, managed by the Bexley Hockey Development Group, supported by Burnt Ash HC and BBHC for U13 and U14 Boys and Girls
- South Kent JDC, managed by Folkestone HC for U13 and U14 Boys and Girls
- Metro JDC, managed by Bomley/Beckenham HC for U13 and U14 Boys and Girls
Swale JDC
The 10 sessions programme took place between September and November at the Old Bordenian HC pitch at Borden Grammar School. The programme lead coach was Nicole Ward, assisted by Mark Forshaw.
Kent Junior Academy Centre Boys Under-13
In January 2012, Old Bordenian HC will host the Boys U13 Junior Academy Centre. The coaching staff will be appointed shortly.
