Holcombe – 5

Old Bordenian 6th X1 - 3

Holcombe started the stronger, going close twice before Bordenians found their shape. Gradually, by using the width of the pitch, the Old Boys started to create their own chances and were rewarded with the lead when Callum Stevens fed Ian Robinson who slotted home. Holcombe scored twice before the break, when they penalised the visitors for not clearing the ball out of defence.

After the break the Old Boys applied most of the pressure, but conceded a further three goals from Holcomb counter-attacks. Still playing with great spirit the Old Boys scored twice in a dazzling five minute spell, with both Adam Houghton and Callum Stevens exhibiting fine finishing skills. The Old B oys continued to press but could not add to their tally.
