Old Bordenian 6th X1 – 2

Maidstone - 2

The Bordenian 6ths, starting with only nine players, were on the back foot from the start and found themselves two goals down after the first quarter. Once they had a full team, the game became more even, with Bollard pulling a goal back just before the interval

After the break, the OBs were the dominant team and should have equalised when Bollard having rounded the 'keeper missed an easy chance. The Old Boys created further chances but looked to have lost their opportunity when Maidstone were awarded a penalty flick, which was subsequently missed. Spurred on, the OBs eventually got the equaliser they deserved when Josh Mitchell fired in a fierce drive after a great solo run. The Maidstone 'keeper managed to make an excellent save, but Bollard scored from the rebound.
