Old Bordenian 6th X1 – 5
Wellcome - 3
The Bordenian 6ths stunned Wellcome with two goals from counter-attacks, converted by Josh Cosgrove and Matt Cooke, having being under pressure from the start of the game and lucky not to have conceded themselves. Wellcome's attacking play finally paid off when they deservedly pulled a goal back, but the OBs scored again before the interval, with an incisive pass from Jamie Henley finding Cooke at the far post to score his second.
After the break the OBs were penalised for lacklustre and sloppy play, allowing Wellcome to score twice to draw level. Credit must go to the OBs who now lifted their game and started to take Wellcome apart with a high tempo passing game, which led to Meaning setting up Bollard for their fourth, with Robinson adding a fifth to ensure victory.
