Canterbury 6th X1 – 3

Old Bordenian 5th X1 - 4

A much changed Bordenian team won a hard fought friendly that was a rematch of the previous week's league game.  Canterbury started brightly but within five minutes the makeshift Bordenian side found their shape and launched a series of attacks, drawing some good saves from the home 'keeper.  Canterbury continued to break effectively and on one of these attacks scored the first goal.  For the remainder of the half the game was well balanced but Geoff lamb scored an equaliser.

By the second half, the weather was deteriorating and the Bordenian side were happy to have the wind behind them.  Despite this advantage, Canterbury scored a quick goal to regain the lead.  The remainder of the match involved rapid changes of end, with the old boys taking most advantage with two excellent goals from Oliver Hewlett and a second for Lamb.  The home side scored their third goal with ten munutes to go but the Sittingbourne side held out for the win.
