Old Bordenian 4th X1 made a very positive start to the new season with a 2-2 draw in a good natured game against Herne Bay. Carl Linnell played a key role in midfield thereby allowing Williams, Neame, Young, Cashman and Elkin to make numerous attacks on the Herne Bay goal. Even when they went two nil down the Old Boys continued to approach the game in a positive manner and in the last ten minutes they were rewarded with goals from Young and Elkin.
