Old Bordenians could not find their usual enthusiasm for the game against Sutton Valence. Despite some valiant attempts to breach the opposition's defences nothing was going to pay off. Even with three players unmarked in the D and only the goalie to beat, the back of the net remained elusive. Sutton Valence scored three goals, to Old Boys' nil.
