Tonbridge Black Knights – 3

Old Bordenian 4B X1 - 1

In a break from the Kent Open League, a much changed Bordenians' development side took on an experienced Knights team under floodlights.

A slow start from the visitors saw them go behind to a well worked goal. It was only then that Bordenians found their stride, and a dominant passage of play resulted in a deserved equaliser from the spot,  despatched by Paul Hood. Bordenians dominated the remainder of the first period, but could not turn their pressure into goals mainly due to some superb work from the Knight’s 'keeper.

The Knights made several changes at the break, and they started very strongly,  turning their superior possession into two well worked goals. Despite their best efforts, Bordenians could not respond.

Bordenians will welcome a return to league fixtures next week in a bid to remain top and unbeaten.
