Old Bordenian 4A X1 – 0

Brom/Becks - 3

Bordenians ran into a well drilled Brom/Becks side playing a standard of hockey well above this league and matched them blow for blow until well into the second half.  Brom/Becks took an early lead through a harshly awarded short corner, which was well converted.  OBs pushed forward with Dan Glazier, Sam Conway, Nathan Cashman, Tony Cashman creating early chances.  OBs gifted Brom/Becks an easy second, giving possession away whilst pushing forward and getting caught on the break.  In the second half OBs continued to press, trying to force a goal, creating plenty of chances but unable to take any.  This let Brom/Becks play on the break and only last ditch defending from Rob Elgar, Jeremy Hewlett and a fine debut from Matt Bullen in goal kept the score to three.
