Old Bordenian 4As – 3
Ashford - 1
Old Bordenians started this post-Christmas friendly slowly and were thankful that Sanjit Atwal in goal had an excellent game, saving a 'P' flick and making several early saves. By mid half, OBs had picked up their pace and passing, creating open play chances for Matt Luckhurst and Chris Hearnden. Half time arrived with OBs leading through a short corner routine finished off by Jeremy Hewlett, Nathan Cashman, Adam Houghton and Tony Cashman. Cashman dominated the mid field, allowing Bordenians to carve many great second half chances: Bradleigh Barrett converted one, with a cracking reverse drive, and Dan Glazier another, with a shot from the edge of the D. Ashford scored a late goal through a defensive lapse.
