A changed Bordenian 4A team made a stuttering start and carried this on through to half time.  Unable to make the final pass or a clean shot, frustration set in and a few heads dropped.  By half-time,some poor defending had allowed Herne Bay two breakaway goals against a Tony Cashman short corner goal at the other end.  With the half time team talk ringing in their ears, Bordenians pounded the Herne Bay goal and gradually wore the resistance down.  Strikes from Oliver Hewlett, Bradleigh Barrett and Dan Glazier turned the game around, but Dave Baker in goal needed to be at his best to shut out Herne Bay's persistent counter-attacking play.
