Old Bordenian 3^rd X1 - 3

The Old Bordenian 3^rd XI travelled to Medway for their first league game against Holcombe 4^th XI.  The Match started well with the Old Boys battling Holcs for possession of the ball.  The Maroons suffered a brief shock to their spirit when an intriguing decision gave Holcs a short corner from which they took the lead. This focussed the minds of the visitors and Bordenian's started take control of the game with some great passing runs which led to Steve Dale scoring their first goal. Just before half time, Tom Moore scored the second goal giving the Old Boys the lead.

Bordenian's maintained their determination to keep control of the game into the second half.  Midway though this half Matt Blades scored the third goal for the Old Boys and they carried the 3 - 1 margin through to the end of the game.
