Old Bordenian 3rd X1 – 2
Tunbridge Wells - 0
The Old Bordenian 3rds took on Tunbridge Wells at home this weekend, needing to play more disciplined hockey following the previous two weeks setbacks. The Old Boys took control of this game from the start and began to play the style of hockey that brought rewards at the start of the season, with the forwards, Dale and Philp, linking well with the midfield which produced a number of opportunities to break the deadlock. It was not until late in the first half that the Old Boys took the lead through another well worked move that gave Giblin the opportunity to slot home from close range. The second half was much the same with the game being hotly contested in midfield with Wiseman and Aldison working tirelessly. The Old Boys wrapped up the game with six minutes left as Tom Moore took a well deserved goal. Overall a good performance and result, but the Old Boys know they can do better.
