Sevenoaks – 1

Old Bordenian 3rd X1 - 2

Following a well battled game the week before, Bordenians travelled to Sevenoaks with a confident step in their walk.  For the first 15 minutes of the first half the Old Boys had control of the game and were unlucky not to be in the lead.  Following a series of decisions which bemused both teams, Bordenians had a free hit just outside of the D.  Nathan Glazier struck the ball at the far post and, after numerous practice shots earlier on, Mark Giblin was able to time his run a get a touch on the ball to guide it past the 'keeper.  Shortly after the start of the second, from a move which started back in their own half, OBs were awarded a long corner which Mark Giblin passed into the D to Steve Dale who directed the ball to the far post for Nick Thompson to receive and score the second Old Boys' goal.  With increased effort, Bordenians were able to keep the final score to 2 – 1.
