Holcombe Hasbeens – 6

Knowing that they needed to push themselves hard for this game against Holcombe Hasbeens the Old Boys started this game well. Old Bordenians gained control of the game quite early on.  From the start it was obvious that it would be a tough game, Holc’s had a shot on goal which Martyn Heaney saved.  Within 15 minutes the home side scored the first goal of the game with a lovely shot on goal by Michael Willis.  This was followed up by another from Willis and one each from Matt Blades and Ricky Dale, the first half finished with the score 4 – 1.

Old Bordenians tried to start the game with the same intensity, but were unable to keep the Hasbeens from getting a stronger grip on the game.  Blades scored one more goal however this was not enough. The final score was 6-5 to Holcs.
