The start of the league again saw the Old Bordenian 2nds lose a closely fought game that could have gone either way. Burnt Ash had the better if the first half taking the lead from a well worked move down the right. However in the second half, the Old Boys fought back into the game and had the forwards had their striking heads on, the score could have been levelled. However, Burnt Ash scored a late goal and secured all three points.
