Old Bordenian 1st X1 – 1

Horsham - 2

It was a tale of missed chances as Old Bordenians suffered their second successive defeat on Saturday.

Old Bordenians controlled the game from the start and allowed Horsham very few opportunities to penetrate their defence, whilst at the other end Bordenians were creating opportunities but could not quite find that finishing touch in front of goal.  At half-time the scores were level and OBs were confident they could take victory in the second half.

They took the lead early in the second half with a well constructed team move culminating in Joe Meaning hitting the back of the net from the top of the area, however the joy was short- lived as Horsham hit back within two minutes to level the score.  Despite the fact that Bordenians continued to dominate the game, Horsham snatched a winner with 10 minutes remaining and, despite their best efforts, OBs were unable to get back into the game.

Old Bordenians must pick themselves up for next week's visit to league-leaders Ashford.
