Old Bordenian Under-14 X1 – 1

Tunbridge Wells - 4

Despite missing their captain James Wilson, the OBs under-14s performed well against a physically stronger Tunbridge side. A slow start and lapses in concentration cost the OBs two early goals. As the half went on, Bordenians started to threaten the Wells defence and were rewarded just before half-time, when a fiercely struck Rory Bollard shot off a short corner gave the Wells 'keeper no chance.

A scramble in the Bordenians' defence cost them a third goal, but more importantly they lost their captain Andrew Hutchinson in his attempt to prevent the goal. A rearranged team performed well for the rest of the half, with Ben Baker excellent in goal and Edward Hewlett and Junior Juanes causing the Wells defence problems. A fourth Wells goal just before the end did not take away from a good Old Bordenian team performance
